A homeless man carries large bags containing his belongings on the downtown east side of Vancouver with the woodwards building barely visible in the background behind him.

Yeah, the woodwards building, and many others in the area are being turned into high-rent apartments and condos, when a lot of people think they should be social housing.. its a little hidden meaning, glad you saw it

(for peeps from not around these parts) wasn't there a big debate about getting that building for a shelter... i believe at one time it had been boarded up, broken into and filled with squatters?
2010 games... with Dan Rather making comparisons of Vancouver and the third world...
ah, bad press, you gotta love it. : )
